Market Share and Competition

Maruti Suzuki’s export growth is notable, considering the company’s domestic market wholesales were down 3% year-over-year in the April-September 2024 period. Hyundai Motor India and Volkswagen India are among Maruti’s competitors in the export market, with Hyundai retaining the second spot despite a 1% drop in exports. Volkswagen, however, moved up to the third position with a 74% increase in exports.
